A. This is the “Deans Resilience” website

Woodingdean Community Centre is the hub for our local activities.

It is a community centre at the centre of our community.

Thank you for visiting this site.

It has been compiled with information from the Sussex Resilience Forum website, the BBC, the NHS, and other Government sources.

The content is designed, and given with the best will and intention, to help, advise and give local Deans residents some practical answers to questions concerning emergencies – all in one place – to help us help ourselves in any given situation where support might perhaps not be available.

Woodingdean has its own Resilience Planning Team, which has written an emergency plan for the Village, for use in times of general emergency, and more specifically if the village is cut off in Winter. This information is therefore freely shared, so that all in our communities may benefit.

Other Deans villages and areas will no doubt do the same in the future, based on their local requirements.

These resilience plans are in response to Government directives, which has tasked all Councils in the UK to have plans which meet emergencies generally, and when specific local community demands are needed.

“You can be assured that the Deans are doing their part”
